Bioenergy Combustion Materials and Systems
The objective of WP2 is to establish an experimental campaign aimed at optimizing gas performance in bioenergy combustion systems. Activities include utilizing novel catalysts and statistical techniques to reduce gas variability, thereby enhancing system efficiency and sustainability. Additionally, this work package focuses on creating a seamless interface for efficient effluent fixing solutions and supporting the integrated structure at the required Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
No 3
Solvents and Materials for CO2 Capture
WP3 aims to provide optimal materials for CO2 capture by delivering immobilization materials, solvents, and Carbonic Anhydrase (CA) variants. It also focuses on generating the necessary equilibrium and kinetics data required for the Rotating Packed Bed (RPB) system, ensuring the effectiveness of CO2 capture processes.
No 4
Testing of CO2 Capture and Utilization Components
The objective of WP4 is to develop and assess the REUSE systems following bioenergy
combustion. This involves conducting experiment
al testing of individual components and using
inputs from WP3 to optimize the overall REUSE system in WP5, ensuring each component
functions effectively within the integrated system.
No 5
REUSE Pilot System Testing
WP5 aims to validate the integrated REUSE system by testing the technology under relevant conditions at TRL 5. The activities involve assessing and validating the performance metrics of
the integrated system to ensure it meets the desired specifications and operates efficiently under
real-world conditions.
No 6
REUSE System Modelling and Cross-Cutting Issues
The objective of WP6 is to analyze the REUSE system through comprehensive modeling and assessments. This includes conducting economic, environmental, and social assessments and developing actionable strategies for regions transitioning away from fossil fuels, ensuring a
holistic evaluation of the system’s impact and facilitating its implementation.
No 7
Dissemination, Communication, Exploitation and Engagement of End-Users
Work Package 7 is focused on establishing a robust pathway for protecting, exploiting, and commercializing the outcomes of the REUSE project. Complementing this effort, dissemination and communication activities are strategically designed to share the project’s results with the broader public.
